SERVICES
- https://namaydentistry.com/fluoride/ Fluoride]: Fluoride plays a crucial role in preventing cavities, or tooth decay, and exists in two main forms: systemic and topical. Systemic fluoride is ingested, often through the public water supply. It strengthens tooth enamel during the formation of teeth under the gums, making them more resistant to decay. Topical fluoride, on the other hand, is applied directly to the teeth through products like toothpaste, mouthwash, and treatments administered at the dentist’s office. It helps protect teeth that are already present in the mouth from cavities. A professional topical fluoride treatment at the dentist’s office is quick, usually taking just a minute. Depending on an individual's risk factors for decay, a dentist might recommend such treatments every three, six, or twelve months. Additionally, dentists may prescribe at-home fluoride products—such as mouthwashes, toothpaste, or gels—for more frequent topical application.
- Oral Cancer Screening: Early detection of oral cancer is vital, making regular dental visits essential. The dental team at Namay Dentistry is equipped with the skills and tools necessary to identify early signs and symptoms of oral cancer. They perform a straightforward, quick screening that includes examining the oral cavity for cancerous and precancerous conditions. Additionally, they palpate the tissues of the mouth and throat to identify any abnormalities.
- Pediatric Dentistry: This practice of Namay Dentistry provides comprehensive dental checkups, cleanings, and education on proper dental hygiene. They establish a strong foundation for dental health from an early age with their youngest patients and uphold high standards of care throughout their lives. The team takes pride in witnessing their patients' growth from childhood into adulthood, maintaining consistent and excellent care throughout their patients' lives.
- Periodontal Care: The team at Namay Dentistry know that the significance of maintaining healthy gums is paramount, as research indicates a connection between periodontal bacteria and various chronic and acute illnesses. Non-surgical periodontal therapy, also known as scaling or root planing, is essential for addressing active gum disease. This procedure involves removing harmful bacteria and smoothing the root surfaces to prevent the attachment of bacteria that can cause further bone destruction.
- Root Canal Therapy: Root canals are designed to alleviate pain and preserve the tooth. During the procedure, the dentist removes the infected inner pulp, cleans out the inner chamber of the tooth, and then fills the root canals with a soft, restorative material. Finally, a crown is placed on top of the tooth to restore its strength and structure.
- Sedation Dentistry: To assist patients experiencing dental anxiety, extreme sensitivity, or undergoing lengthy treatments, the dentists at Namy provide oral conscious sedation. This method involves taking a pill before the procedure to induce sedation. While under its effects, patients remain responsive to questions and instructions but generally do not recall the specifics of their visit afterward.
- Sleep Apnea: Treatments for sleep apnea vary based on the severity of each case. For less severe instances, initial approaches may involve behavioral changes, such as weight loss or altering sleep positions. In more severe cases, surgical intervention might be necessary. However, for many patients, a custom oral device is an effective solution. This device is designed to position the mouth to prevent throat blockage, and it can be specifically tailored to ensure optimal comfort and a good night's sleep.
- TMJ Disorder Treatment: The temporomandibular joints (TMJs) enable the mouth to open, close, and move from side to side. TMJ disorder arises when these joints have to overcompensate for an imbalanced bite, leading to strain that causes facial pain and other symptoms. For patients with mild or moderate TMJ issues, treatment is often managed with a customized occlusal splint.
- Porcelain Veneers: For individuals with one or two minor cosmetic imperfections affecting their smile, porcelain veneers might be an ideal solution. These custom-made porcelain shells are designed to resemble natural teeth and effectively conceal issues such as chips, cracks, gaps, and slight misalignments, enhancing the overall symmetry of the smile.
- Whitening: Namay Dentistry provides a range of take-home whitening treatments, including custom-fitted whitening trays and convenient pre-filled “take and toss” options. With years of experience in teeth whitening, the dentists are well-equipped to guide patients through the process, address any questions, and help identify a treatment that fits both their budget and lifestyle.
- Bonding: Bonding involves using tooth-colored composites to restore teeth to a natural appearance. This composite resin can effectively cover discolored spots, close gaps, repair chips and fractures, reshape turned or tipped teeth, and enhance the whiteness of the teeth.
- Invisalign: Invisalign® utilizes a series of clear trays rather than traditional brackets and wires to align teeth. These thin plastic trays are designed to be worn continuously, except when eating, brushing, or flossing. Namay Dentistry is recognized as a preferred Invisalign provider, offering expertise in this advanced orthodontic solution.
- Bridges: A dental bridge is used to replace missing teeth, helping to maintain the shape of the face, improve both form and function, and reduce stress on the bite. It is permanently bonded in place and integrates seamlessly with the existing dentition, functioning as a natural part of the mouth.
- Crowns: Crowns are tooth-shaped porcelain caps designed to strengthen and repair damaged teeth. They can also be used to cover dental implants or support bridges. To ensure prompt and high-quality restorations, the dentists at Namay Dentistry utilize CEREC® technology, which allows them to create and place custom crowns in a single visit, ensuring both comfort and precision in their functionality.
- Implants: Dental implants offer a permanent solution for replacing missing teeth. The procedure involves surgically placing a small titanium post into the jawbone, which serves as a stable foundation for crowns or bridges. This not only ensures a secure fit but also helps prevent bone loss in the area where the tooth is missing.
- Inlays and Onlays: Inlays and onlays are designed to restore the shape, strength, and appearance of damaged teeth. An inlay fits between the cusps of a tooth, while an onlay extends over one or more cusps and can extend down the side of the tooth.
- Reconstruction: For individuals with extensive damage to their teeth and gums, a full mouth reconstruction may be a suitable option. This comprehensive procedure by Namay Dentistry combines multiple therapeutic treatments to address structural damage, treat decay, and restore both optimal function and appearance of the mouth.
