All containers are fully weather-resistant, featuring corrugated roofs for enhanced durability and effective water runoff. The floors are coated to ensure they are waterproof, non-slip, non-toxic, and non-flammable. Additional features include receiver tubes, d-rings, tie-down rings, and ventilation systems. Each container can be equipped with 3M vinyl decals and has a secure door latch. These storage units are designed to be stackable up to three high, even when fully loaded. Once constructed, Boxwell relocatables are built to last for decades, with a base capable of supporting 10,000 lbs, resistance to 120 mph winds, and a roof designed to handle a 60 psf snow load. The structures are easy to build with just 24 nuts and bolts and can be stacked three high, even when fully loaded. They are equipped with fork pockets for easy relocation and are protected against water, wind, dust, and pests. The interior features an anti-condensation spray on the ceiling, two wall vents for airflow, and removable partitions for subdividing the space. Doors are available in roll-up or swing options, with roll-up doors pre-assembled, lubricated, and ADA compliant. Customers can choose from a variety of lock assemblies, including smart locks, and select from a wide range of colors to match existing buildings. The flooring consists of 19 mm marine-grade plywood, sealed with a non-slip, non-odorous coating, raised for drainage, and available in light or dark finishes with an optional diamond plate upgrade.

Internal components include a simplified end cap, pre-lubricated radial ball bearings, grease-coated springs, and a galvanized steel barrel that conceals essential mechanisms. The bottom bar is reinforced for stability and includes a pull handle, rope, and seal. Leveraging his expertise in engineering, manufacturing, and customer service, Rod established Boxwell in 2015 to address the need for higher-quality portable storage containers and exceptional service. His strategic insight and adaptability have propelled Boxwell to become a leading global supplier. Renowned for his transparent, innovative approach and dedication to both customer satisfaction and team welfare, Rod also pursues passions in ultra-marathons, cycling, and fly fishing, while cherishing family time with his wife and two children.
- Lisa Maloney: Director of Strategic Accounts at Boxwell for the past 7 years, Lisa Maloney brings extensive experience in planning, designing, and implementing creative storage solutions. With a passion for building long-term relationships, Lisa values face-to-face interactions with site owners. Residing in the mountains of North Carolina with her husband, TR, she takes pride in guiding her three children to successful careers as college graduates. Outside of work, Lisa enjoys cycling, hiking, yard work, and has recently taken up motorcycle riding as a new hobby.
- Laura Brooks: Laura Brooks, Strategic Account Manager at Boxwell for the past seven years, combines her medical sales background with a can-do attitude to excel in her role. A Kennesaw State University graduate with a degree in Chemistry, Laura joined Boxwell in 2017. After relocating from Atlanta to Colorado in 2007 in pursuit of outdoor adventures, she, her husband and her son have embraced an active lifestyle. Laura’s interests include biking, hiking, gardening, paddle boarding, and camping, all while caring for their two dogs, three chickens, and one duck.
- Frank Pendleton: With over 20 years of experience in sales and operation within the transportation industry, Frank Pendleton, Strategic Account Manager at Boxwell LLC joined Boxwell in 2020. Frank, a Jacksonville, Florida native and Florida State University alumnus, now resides in Leland, NC with his wife, Teri, and their six children. In his spare time, Frank enjoys fishing, kayaking, camping, hiking, and traveling, having explored six of the seven continents.
- Brian Borden: With a diverse background in real estate, commercial and residential construction, and business development, Brian Borden is the Strategic Account Manager at Boxwell LLC and has been with the company since August 2023. Educated at the University of Florida and Saint Joseph's University with degrees in Economics and Business Marketing, he finds satisfaction in supporting customer visions and working collaboratively toward shared goals. Outside of work, he enjoys being on the water, playing guitar, doing yoga, and staying active. Residing in the suburbs of Philadelphia with his wife and two young sons, he values time spent with his family above all.
- John Chavez: Joining Boxwell as a Sales & Operations Assistant, John Chavez brings a diverse background in travel and tourism, business development, consulting, inventory, and logistics. A native of Colorado, he currently resides in Arvada with his adult daughter, teenage son, and three dogs. In his free time, John enjoys reading, spending time with his family, and walking his dogs on mountain trails.
- Lesley Folan: As a Sales Assistant at Boxwell, Lesley Folan brings years of experience in account management and customer service, characterized by her attention to detail, positive attitude, and dedication to getting things done. She and her husband of 24 years are parents to three wonderful sons and enjoy hosting gatherings, frequently entertaining family and friends at home. Lesley’s hobbies include interior design, home renovation, group fitness, and spending as much time as possible outdoors.
- Ellann Miranda: Sales Assistant at Boxwell, Ellann Miranda brings extensive experience from both sales and manufacturing backgrounds. With a passion for working closely with customers to support their business growth, she leverages her skills in Microsoft Excel, Customer Service, and Sales. Born and raised in Lafayette, Indiana, Ellann is married with two sons. In her free time, she enjoys traveling, spending quality time with her family, and watching her sons play soccer. - Austin Krueger: As the Director of Operations at Boxwell LLC since May 2018, Austin Krueger is a forward-thinking professional dedicated to the company’s integrity and family-oriented culture. He thrives to Work in a challenging environment and contributes to the continued growth and success of the organization. A Colorado State University Pueblo graduate with a degree in Sociology and a criminal justice emphasis, Austin is deeply rooted in his Colorado heritage. He enjoys outdoor activities such as snowboarding, dirt biking, and hiking, and is also an avid sports fan and hockey enthusiast. At home, he cherishes time with his fiancé, Megan, their son, Bentley, and their black lab, Blue, often engaging in family projects like building go-karts and race cars.
- Chris Bears: With a background in operations and management in the oil and gas and restaurant industries, Chris Bears joined Boxwell as an Operations Manager. A Colorado State University graduate with a degree in Business Management, Chris is known for his down-to-earth demeanor and friendly smile. Outside of work, he is passionate about mountain and road biking, powerlifting, and enjoys cooking and DIY welding projects. Chris also relishes adventurous activities with his children, always keeping things lively and engaging.
- Brent Howard: With 35 years of experience in manufacturing, engineering, and sales, Brent Howard joined Boxwell’s operations team as an Operations & Warranty Specialist. His friendly demeanor and strong work ethic have made him a valuable addition to the team. Brent, who holds an Associate of Applied Science in Business Administration and Management from Ivy Tech Community College-Lafayette, has a background in field service engineering, advanced composite fabrication, and repair. Outside of work, he enjoys golfing and cherishes time with his family and nine grandchildren.
- Jason Chadwick: Born and raised in Colorado, Jason Chadwick serves as an Operations & Installation Specialist at Boxwell. He appreciates the hard work and travel aspects of his role. When not on the road, Jason enjoys writing and recording his own music and spending quality time with his family.
- Jason Searfoss: Jason Searfoss, CFO of Boxwell, is an experienced finance and operations leader with over 20 years in high-growth and corporate environments both domestically and internationally. His expertise spans private equity, structured finance, technology, banking, real estate, and operations. Jason has a proven track record in delivering financial results, developing products, nurturing strategic alliances, managing risk, closing complex transactions, and building teams. He holds an MBA in Finance and Accounting from The University of Chicago Booth School of Business and a summa cum laude B.A. in Economics and English from Kenyon College. Outside of his professional life, Jason is a competitive ultramarathon runner, having completed races up to 175 miles, and lives in Boulder, Colorado with his family.
- Laura Andreatta: Laura Andreatta, an Accountant at Boxwell, brings a wealth of experience as a financial controller and data scientist, having worked across diverse industries and geographies in both corporate and academic settings. At Boxwell, she oversees accounting operations and financial reporting with a passion for numbers. Laura holds both a BS and MS in Statistics from the University of Padova in her hometown of Italy. Beyond her professional expertise, she is enthusiastic about learning new languages, traveling, and discovering new destinations with her family. Her skills include financial controls, management reporting, data analysis, and forecasting techniques.
- Meyer: Tanya relocated from NYC to Boulder in the summer of 2017 and soon after joined the Boxwell team. She manages accounts receivable, accounts payable, and office administration, thriving in an environment where individual talents are celebrated. Outside of work, Tanya is passionate about fly fishing, backpacking, and ceramics, and she enjoys challenging others to a game of backgammon.
- Jennifer Strothman: Joining the finance team in 2020 as Senior Sales & Operations Analyst, Jennifer Strothman is a graduate of the Leeds School of Business at the University of Colorado, Boulder, Jennifer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a Minor in Chinese and a Certificate in Global Business. Originally from Grand Junction, she now resides in Denver. Jennifer's strong background in business strategy includes utilizing frameworks like Porter’s Five Forces and Barney’s Resource-Based View to analyze industries and develop competitive strategies. Passionate about travel, she has visited over 20 countries and lived in both Asia and South America.
- Ryker Stark: Ryker Stark, a Financial Analyst at Boxwell, began as a sales assistant and has swiftly advanced to his current role as a billing coordinator in the finance department. He is a recent graduate from the University of Colorado Boulder’s Leeds School of Business, where he earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance and Real Estate. A native of Boulder, Ryker enjoys skiing and traveling to scuba diving locations, including Hawaii, Costa Rica, and Mexico.

Outside of work, Erik enjoys skiing, golf, and beach volleyball, and he takes great pleasure in spending time with his family and supporting his four children as they embark on their own adventures.
- Jessie Smith: As Boxwell’s Creative Director, Jessie Smith is the driving force behind the company's graphic design and branding efforts. With years of experience, she skillfully communicates Boxwell’s mission and values through innovative marketing and design. Jessie holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Design with an Architecture emphasis from the University of Colorado Boulder and a Certificate in Interaction Design from UC San Diego. Passionate about creativity and design, she would dive into scuba adventures weekly if she lived by the ocean, and in the summer, she enjoys tending to her vegetable garden.
- Karah Midgarden: Karah Midgarden, a Marketing & Design Specialist at Boxwell, brings a strong passion for marketing and design to the team. A native of Fort Collins and a Colorado State University graduate with a degree in Business Administration, focused on Marketing and Organization/Innovation Management, Karah now lives in Brighton, Colo. She is experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite, and web design tools like Wix and WordPress, managing the design process for both print and digital projects. Her skills include email marketing, event coordination, and website management. Outside of work, Karah enjoys spending time with her Great Dane and Chihuahua, painting, and being with family and friends.

Her professional experience spans writing, editing, school administration, philanthropy, and graphic design. A resident of Niwot, Colorado, Brenda lives with her husband, three children, two horses, two dogs, and two cats. Outside of work, she enjoys swimming, hiking, painting, cooking, and beekeeping. Brenda holds a Bachelor of Arts in English Language and Literature with a focus on Fine Arts from the University of Michigan and has studied Linguistics at the University of Colorado Boulder. - Lisa Fortuna: Lisa Fortuna, who joined Boxwell in 2021, brings a positive attitude and exceptional multitasking skills to her role in Human Resources. Known affectionately as “Tuna” in the office, Lisa excels at staying organized amidst her many responsibilities. She is a proud owner of a rescue dog named Bourbon and enjoys a margarita from her favorite local taqueria, Verde. Lisa holds a degree from Keene State College.
